I’m a passionate advocate for quality, inclusive early learning and child care, driven by the belief that when children and families are well-supported, communities thrive. I find purpose in leading with compassion, clarity, and curiosity, and I’m deeply inspired by the dedication and heart of the Stepping Stones team.
With over 20 years of experience in the field, I’ve worked in a variety of early learning environments, including preschools, school-age care, and mixed-age programs. I believe in the importance of supporting quality, inclusion, and leadership in early learning. My experience as a distance instructor with Grande Prairie Regional College and as Chair of the Association of Early Childhood Educators of Alberta has strengthened my ability to connect, mentor, and influence positive change across the sector.
I bring a blend of educational leadership, counselling insight, and advocacy experience to my work. My background in counselling psychology allows me to approach leadership with empathy and a focus on mental health and resiliency—values that I believe are essential in creating thriving programs and teams.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Learning and Child Care and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology. I continue to engage in professional learning focused on inclusion, leadership development, and emotional wellness to better serve children, families, and educators.
My leadership style is collaborative, reflective, and strengths-based. I believe in empowering others through trust, guidance, and shared purpose. I strive to create spaces where educators feel supported to grow, families feel valued, and children can learn with curiosity and confidence.
Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and exploring new experiences that challenge and inspire me. My son has been one of my greatest gifts and bigger teachers, and I am forever grateful to be his mom.
