The Stepping Stones Family Day Home Program offers Government of Alberta regulated, approved, and monitored family day home services in Sexsmith, Clairmont, and the City of Grande Prairie, with expansion into nearby communities.
Our Day Homes provide high-quality, licensed child care in nurturing, home-based environments for infants to 12 years old. The diverse, multi-age groupings encourage children to learn from and support one another, fostering empathy, confidence, and social skills.
Each home is operated by a trained and approved Day Home Educator, who follows established health and safety practices and offers developmentally appropriate learning opportunities. Families are valued partners in care, ensuring each child’s unique needs are met in a consistent, loving setting.
We are proud to be an Alberta Approved Family Day Home Agency, licensed and monitored under the Government of Alberta’s Early Learning and Child Care Act.
Being “Alberta Approved” means each home:
- Meets provincial health, safety, and developmental standards
- Is regularly monitored and supported by a licensed agency
- Is operated by trained educators with verified background checks
- Qualifies families for child-care subsidies and affordability grants
This approval gives families peace of mind knowing their child is in a safe, nurturing, and provincially regulated environment.
Our Family Day Homes support children’s growth through:
- Play-based exploration and social-emotional development
- Daily routines that promote self-regulation and independence
- Creative learning in literacy, science, and art
- Strong family partnerships and community connection
- Health, safety, and wellness practices guided by Alberta standards
